Better later than never
I'm as exhausted as this little guy that I rescued from our greenhouse
I've been told "better late than never" so I'm hoping that's true this week as I come to you from a deep exhaustion late on a Tuesday night. So the blog is on vacation for a week, but we're not, and so...
Here's what we we're harvesting this week:
Baby lettuce salad mix: $3.50/5-oz compostable container
Spinach (not baby): $5/1/2-lb bag
Rainbow Chard: $3/bunch
Lacinato kale (a.k.a. dino kale, black kale, cavelo nero, etc.): $3.50/bunch
Cucumbers: $2.95/pound (very limited)
Tomatoes (Cherokee Purple or Beefsteak): $3.45/pound
Zephyr Squash: $2.25/lb
Note the change in buildings in Charlotee! We'll be at the Charlotte Regional Farmers Market in Building A 8am-1pm and at the Downtown Hickory Farmers Market 330 Main Ave NW Wednesday 10am-2pm and Saturday 8am-1pm, and the Watauga County Farmers Market in Boone 8-noon.
